LADY BUGS LADY BUGS!!

Danny ordered 72,000 lady bugs to release in the pecan orchard. They are called Beneficials because they eat the bugs that we DONT want...like them darn APHIDS! The 1st picture shows the bag full of ladys. Then we started putting them out by the handfuls at each tree. We had to start at dusk so they would be sure to crawl into the trees. We rode back through & you could see them going up the tree trunks. NEAT HUH!

Yes, it IS neat! I hope they do their job. I've had one on a cucumber plant that I've been trying to get a close up of all week. I think I'm supposed to breathe on it to make it be still but it flies away every time it sees me. lol

Gosh, you lit my candle....sometimes I find them in the house...

No mam, I don't eat eggs....they are good for hunting....and maybe feed to company......

I put a little mustard in my potato salad and they never know it has no eggs in it.......

Never seen so many Ladybugs in all my life. I think my daughter MIGHT have had almost that many in her house last year.

Wow, I never thought about ordering and buying lady bugs! How great they can do some clean-up work for you of unwanted bugs! :o) When my oldest daughter lived in IL, her apt. was taken over with ladybugs about once a year (late summer or fall?). I could not believe how many! You should have been there with your bag then. :o)

Tina, I heard this and thought of you...

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot.
My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors; Fill your plate with bright colors; greens, yellows, reds, etc.
I went right home and ate an entire bowl of M&M's and sure enough, I felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy!!

I've been wondering why in the world over the past 4 or 5 years there seems to have been such an increase in ladybugs. At one time we hardly ever saw them, now you can not only see them outside on a blade of grass, but inside, on your windowsill, on your kitchen sink, in your closet..........

Yeah, same as Our Family of Five......at the top of the curtains, in the corners of the ceiling, lady bugs everywhere. And this has just been the past few years. I think they are coming from the south escaping from Tina's pecan farm.....or maybe Mama Dot is bringing them back home with her when she visits Tina. LOL

I also have never thought of ordering lady bugs. Seems like we are trying to get rid of lady bugs.

Ladybugs are so cute ... but having a bag with 72.000 *huuuh*
Normally I do not like animals having more than four legs. :)
