THE LITTLE PACKAGE

Our Little Package is going to the doctor this morning to get her first immunization injections. Despite being a nurse....I DO NOT DO WELL with babies or children. I help with the admission paper work on the pediatric patients from time to time but that is about all I can handle. I helped hold a 2 year old the other day while his IV was being resited.....I came out balling. Friday a young father came to the nurses station in a panic because his baby's IV infiltrated causing the baby's hand to swell. I was the only nurse available so I went in & came out balling. The thoughts of it now makes me shaky. SOOOOOOO off I go this morning with my Little Package to the doctor. I'm afraid it will all be more traumatic to me than to her!!! I hope yall had a nice weekend. It is hot & muggy here today.

The shots are always the worse...I always cried harder than my kids. It will be fine...she is so cute.

She is adorable. Look at her beautiful big eyes. I hope she did okay with her shot. My grandson went a few weeks ago for his 4 year check up. They gave him 5 shots. I am glad I didn't have to take him because in my opinion 5 shots is too much at one time. That was pure torture.

It is hot here today too. 74 degrees. Going to be in the 70's most of the week. My Bradford Pear trees are budding. They are confused and think it is spring.

In a way I am so thankful that our five kids are grown and their children are past vaccinations. One of our daughters has a son, our grandson, who is autistic. With the talk about vaccinations being responsible, it still worries me. He is now 8 and in school. He is doing pretty good.

Your photograph is very nice of the baby.

I never had a chance to actually talk to this bird or hawk as it was outside and I was inside. I think he might have suspected it was me from a week ago when we played a kind of game of tag. He would fly down on the other side of my board fence and disappear and then fly back up on my board fence at a new place. I could hear it claws hit the wood and he would be looking at me when he landed. I took a lot of pictures that day too.

I really like nature and everything in it and have problems with sportmen and women who hunt for sport and things like that. It never used to both me but the older I get the more it bothers me.

We have been married for over 52 years. Imagine that. It is almost unheard of these days.

Thanks for your visit.

I hope it is over quickly.

They drew Siggie's blood for the surgery...the big vile. Anyhow, Siggie was a trouper and did not even whimper...but when it was over she looked the nurse in the eye and said "you hurt me".

I guess you are getting ready to 'work the weekend' away. Hope it all goes well.

Siggie is doing ok. I will stay with her Monday and Tuesday and I will let you see how pretty she is.

All she want is her Poppa...let little stinker says Poppa is her boyfriend!

What a lovely photo! Such beautiful, clear eyes. Babies embody honesty!

Good luck at the doctor's. I remember the look my daughter gave us after her first shots. We felt horrible because she couldn't understand, heck, we were being good to her!
