"SHOW & TELL" AT KELLI'S HOUSE TODAY!

Kelli at "There is No Place Like Home" is hosting a "Show & Tell" day. So here is my show & tell item.

This is part of a tea set that was given to my Mama from my Daddy. The set only includes 6 cups & saucers, 6 salad size plates, the tea pot, and the cream and sugar bowl. I always remember it being packed up in a box in storage. Mama never cared for it much and frankly there was no use for hot tea in hot Alabama. I admired it as a child. When my parents divorced, some how my Daddy ended up with it. A few years ago I went to visit Daddy & seen the tea set displayed in his china hutch. I didn't recognize it until he mentioned where it came from. Because I admired it so much Daddy gave it to me. I guess it was bought in the 1960's when Daddy was in the Navy but I'm not sure where. I have never seen one like it. I love the delicate yellow roses on it. I wish there was a full set of china to go with it. Any who......this is my show & tell. Mama if you can remember anything else about it, leave it in the comments for me.
If you have something to show & tell go to Kelli's link at the bottom of my page & then you will see the details on how to enter your link to direct others to your "SHOW & TELL"!

I never could find any use for it. Once it was packed in a box in that old shed and I opened the box and one of those horrible scorpions was inside. Remember those scorpions?

Those are so pretty. They remind me of a set my Mom used to have, but the roses were pink. She did have dishes to match. There is a company that sells replacement dishes to people, even to many that are no longer made. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but you could check with a company like that and see if there are other pieces available.

By the way, I put the birth pictures up for you.
