AINT NUTHIN LIKE A GOOD FISHIN TRIP!!!!

Danny & I went fishin last week at a slew off the Altamaha river. We didn't get to start fishin until after 4 p.m. and quit about 7 O'clock. As you can see we caught a nice mess of fish. Mostly bream, a few nice blue gill, one white perch, and several nice catfish. Over 30 fish (and that aint countin the little ones we threw back) in less than 3 hours! Yall that is fun!! I have been fishin with this man for 17 years and there have been times that he takes things a little too serious. When the river gets low, often we have run up on a sand bar, or come to a spot where a tree is over the length of the slew, it aint nuthin for Danny to strip his clothes off...get out of the boat & pull it to the destination of his choice & then get dressed again. Sounds extreme but he always catches fish!! Oh & dont get a fishin lure stuck in a stump or a tree & think your gonna leave it there.....OH NO!! You gotta strip down & go get it! "Them things cost money", he says! River fishin is always tricky and ALWAYS an ADVENTURE!! I love to go and despite Danny's "Seriousness" I love going with him. When we got married, part of our vows should have been...."through sickness and health, high river or low river, when the fish are biting and when they are not....do you take this man....". AHHHH...aint that sweet!

How fun that you can enjoy that with him. I think that is what farmin' has become for Michael and I. We love to go out an move fence together or feed animals, etc. I have not done as much as I should have since I was sick, but I am trying to get back into the swing of life.

That is wonderful that you and your husband go fishing together! Sometimes husbands think fishing is a "guy" thing! Love your blog!

That is sweet! My hubby loves to fish...me, not so much. I didn't grow up fishing, but he took me a couple years ago & managed to tip over the canoe we were in. I would recommend not going fishing in a canoe...EVER! Luckily it was a hot summer day & we dried out fast. Not a pretty sight!

Tina Leigh,

Just got back into town late this afternoon.

Yes, I would love to meet you and Dot in Macon sometime when you are meeting. When we lived near Macon, that was our favorite shopping place and we still take a day to go there to shop.

Let me know and I'll try to be there......

I've missed you all so much this week........

That is a serious fisherman!

I love to fish - when their biting!!If there not biting than it better be a nice hot day that I can lay-out on the boat. I hate just sitting around for hours watching the bobber or feeling the line for a bite. Ice fishing when they're not biting is for the birds!! :)
