I love Spring!!!

There's white perch fishin and then bass fishin & TURKEY SEASON!! Monday Danny & I went to see if we could get us a bird. It was foggy & we couldn't get the gobbler to come down from the trees. He flew from tree to tree. Yesterday there were 3 toms competing to get to my decoys first. It is an amazing thing to hear the deep tone of a swamp bottom gobbler yelling his head off. Then to see him & his competitors vie for the hen at hand...ahhh! The joy! Any who...it was a good morning! We went this morning but we could barely get a turkey to yerp. Go figure! It was still nice to be in the woods as the world was waking up. Oh he had an 8 inch beard & some serious spurs!

Tina, we have gobblers on Galla Creek. I may try to take a photo of one to show you. We don't shoot them here as we do the deer. The deer are pests like big rats, but the turkeys are nice neighbors so I let them be.

Spring break is wonderful and I am enjoying it.

Tina Leigh,

Gracious, you are a hunter. Even in those fatigues, you are so pretty! Just can't hide beauty!

It's wonderful that your 'Grammy' is still with you. Treasure each moment. I never really knew my grandparents very well.....

Thank you for the visit and please come again soon.

I must say that she looks just like her mother! lol. I wish! She is a good girl most of the time but she was a handful when she was little!
