I am fascinated with clocks especially Grandfather clocks. This one in my living room is not an expensive clock at all but I love the "DONG, DONG, DONG" it makes every hour and half hour. Sometimes when I call home I can hear it Donging and it makes me homesick! It is comforting to me to hear it in the night too. Do any of you remember the Grandfather clock on Captain Kangaroo? I loved the Captain Kangaroo show and I wish I could buy the re-runs! Anyway...I loved the Grandfather clock and his wise smiling face!

Jerry's dad built a grandfather clock and told Jerry a long time ago that it would be ours one day. It is really pretty.

I like yours a lot also. His you have to wind and it does the tick tock thing and then chimes on the hour. Do you have to wind yours?

Very lovely clock, Tina! The owl on top is an ice touch. :) I love the sound of clocks that chime. We have a mantle clock that I love because it chimes every 1/4 hour and then bongs on the hour. Too bad we couldn't share the sounds over our blogs!

I love your clock! It made me think of my Father-in-law. He collected clocks. Right after Bill and I were married, we would go stay all night with his Mom and Dad every Friday night. Well, there were 19 clocks ticking in that house. Some of them chimed on the hour and some just ticked. After a while, it was a soothing sound...a nice memory!

Beautiful clock Tina. I've always wanted a clock like that for the same reasons you mentioned.

Tina, this is O/T, but I found an article on the Cyberknife at Bristol Regional Hospital. I looked for your e-mail address on your blog and couldn't find it. If you will send it to me private , I will send you the article. It is quite interesting. My e-mail is: crochetclara@aol.com
