Ahhhhh, Just a little "ALONE TIME" goes a long way!!

I got up yesterday & decided to do a little shopping & spend some time at the beach.....right by myself! I am not a beach person (Sorry Jen) but I like to go once or twice a year. I went to Brunswick, Georgia & hit my favorite stores. After getting a bite to eat I headed to the beach. I like to go to the beach on Jekyll Island because there are always less people. There was less than a dozen groups of people scattered about yesterday......just what I like. St.Simmons is always packed & it is more of a social scene anyway.

So I came back with a new purse from TJ Max (yes Mama I got one, lol), a new wallet & address book (I haven't replaced these items in years) a pair of shorts & a top from Target, a few eatable goodies (2 boxes of the Little School Boy chocolate biscuits & a bag of mini bagels), and last but not least.....a little sun on some areas that dont usually get any (get out of the gutter....I usually have a farmer's tan thank you very much!).

It's nice to live so close to so much (45 miles).
So what do you do when you need some "Alone Time"?

Sounds like you had some wonderful "ALONE TIME" I LOVE the beach. If I lived close to the beach I would be walking on the edge of the water all the time. Beautiful beach scene.

It does sound wonderful. I just walk to the pond or creek, the woods or fields.
Thanks for the visit this morning.

Alone time? What? Just kidding. I enjoy grabbing lunch and eating it in the car at the park or the river. Watching the tug boats remind me of my papaw. Which is a good thing. The beach...so jealous. We had actually looked into visiting Foley Island. But Scott doesnt like to venture away from Fl much. Maybe another time. I had found a great little beach house a block from the ocean and it looked so soothing...if I start looking there again I will get with you and you can help me find the best location.

Well, I thought they had buried you under one of those pecan trees...using your bones for bone meal. Glad to see you are still kicking and doing so well!

You went to the beach and purse shopping without ME? The beach looks so pretty. I love Jekyll Island! I don't have to look for alone time since I'm so mean no one comes around me. lol.

Saw your name scrawled on the side of an old blue dumpster the other day and decided to come by for a visit. I've spent some time in Glen County Georgia on several occasions in the past - Beautiful area. I also like an occasional visit to the sea, but I don't think I'd enjoy living there. Too much upkeep.

That sounds like a great "alone time," Tina! When I need alone time, Phillip takes the kids somewhere. I like to crank up my music (Bryan Adams of course..hehehe) and sit back and sit back with some ice tea and a snack.

For some reason I never need alone time. But those are tranquil beach shots.
