It has been busy around here as usual. Danny has been spraying like crazy....almost everyday for more than 2 weeks. We have been battling aphids. These are little insects that can destroy your pecan crop if they are not put in check. Poor Danny has been wondering if it is worth it or not. With over $6000.00 in sprays & fertilizer....well I sure hope the crop will be good this year.
I haven't been laying around either. The wash is never done...that is if you are like me....I hate having dirty clothes in the hampers! I have also been able to use my kitchen some. My parents-n-law took me to a blue berry farm & I was able to get me a few messes to put up in the freezer. The farm also had black berrys planted too. I got more than a few messes of them & I will show you another day what Danny & I did with them. Any who.....that is SOME of what's happening here. School is starting here today. It just doesn't seem right. ITS TOO DARN HOT FOR SCHOOL!

OK I might be an idiot! Everytime I try to do something different with my blog I mess something up....how I "checked" the area for members of my blog...well who knows. I've messed my links up too. Any way...Mama told me no one could post so I was able to figure it out & fix...LOL.

What lovely berries! A reminder that I need to walk down over the hill and check on our wild blackberries!

Ok, if you lived here...the old woman at chicken ridge would give you some new chicks...but you are just too far south to get them to you.

What they love best is to pick at green grass...well, ain't none of that left in my pen. Oh, they love grasshoppers. Hens will get in a hen fight over them. You know that is where the hen fight name came from...2 hens will really fight and feathers will fly! Then they will be friends again.

I am glad I am back on your team as i thought I had been black balled into AR!

Tina, if you can see this... IT WORKED!! =)

Do I see that you use a golf cart to take your laundry to the line?? Man, is that luxury or what?!?!? =)

Glad to see a new post from you.

I read a comment you left on another blog, and thought I would click over and check yours out. I love it! I LOVE country living. We just moved to the city, in a different state, but I was born and raised in the country! We're still in the south, but like I said.....we're in the city!
