Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:24. Statistics say the average marriage lasts 7 years. I believe God's Word is true but I dont see a thing in His Word about marriage lasting only seven years! God created marriage and HE instituted it way back there "In the beginning". Marriage is in the spot light in America, even more so it is in the center of a bullseye waiting to be hit. I value marriage with all my being and there are some things I would like to shout from the roof tops about it. I just might step on some toes....God created the relationship between one man and one woman. Except for your relationship with God, the relationship between husband and wife comes FIRST. Not the relationship with your children, not the church, job, or anything else. Did I get your big toe?! Oh I wish I could gather married women up and pour this into their souls like a refreshing drink! Our husbands come first...why because God said so. Oh dear woman I want to talk to you about your marriage. Will you let me tell you some things?

the men are just as bad as the women, you have to work at marriage and this day and time very few do.
Oh Tina Leigh, you tell it Sister!! When we finally give up ourself and put our husbands first, God does some really neat things in our hearts. Then we see some really neat changes in our husbands. God's Word is TRUE!!! We need to put the soles of our feet in the water and He will meet us there!
I agree with both of you! It breaks my heart to see marriages fall a part. My marriage is not perfect by far but I can say it has come a long way! It started with me. It is a hard thing to realize that your husband is the HEAD of your house but when I accepted that it has made our marriage better. This old world teaches women some terrible things. Feminist started a destructive movement way back. They were/are a tool used by Satan to destroy the family. They may be hard for some to swallow but it is true & I believe it with all my being!
the goverment bought the cattle because there was no market, this was under the Hoover time and their was that if they let people have the food the market would stay down longer of course that is stubid but most the things goverment is stubid.
Is that the Seven Year Itch? Oh dear I'm on six years, I hope Marilyn Monroe doesn't move in next door?
I loved your post. Just a question though, is there a scripture to support that marriage should come before church? Because Christ is the church and if we put Him first then our marriages will be blessed, surely?
Blessings.
Hey Mrs Blythe!
Our relationship with God comes first, then our marriage, children, and then the church. You see God didnt start the church until the New Testament. This is something you have to think on a little bit. There was a reason for HIS order in which HE created things. The marriage was the FIRST human institution HE created, Gen 2:24. Math 19:4-6, then as a result the family was instituted. The Church is subject to Christ, Ep 5:24...for a lack of better wording, the church is a tool God uses for us to know HIM better, learn about HIM, fellowship with other Christians. But we have to be careful because Satan can use the church to harm. Does that make sense? Anytime I have ever taught this truth, I have met some opposition. Many women do not like to be told that their husband comes before the children. It goes back to 1. Your relationship with God and 2. your relationship with your husband. If a man & woman are not grounded in their relationship with God prior to marriage then the priorties of ANY relatioship through out life will be messed up. I know from my own experience. Boy that was long winded!!
Hi Tina, I totally agree that God first then husband. I totally disagree with divorce (except on the grounds of adultery - as per Jesus' instruction). I totally agree with submitting to husband - but we are also commanded to submit to one another in the church. I totally agree husband before children. I'm also not sure about husband before church though. Hmmm, requires some thought/prayer. Thanks Tina. Blessings.
Mrs Blythe.....prayer is always good, you can never go wrong there!!
